We are delighted to be holding a 1-day seminar, focussed on Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (DGSAs).

The Seminar October will address two thorny DG issues:

  1. a proposal for the content of the DGSA's Annual Report (as required by ADR 1.8.3.3)

  2. how to develop a DGSA once they are formally qualified.

Seminar Aims

  • to propose a format for the DGSA Annual Report that BADGP members could use in their activitiess
  • to introduce and gain feedback from fellow DG professionals as to the proposed content of a BADGP post qualification 'New DGSA Development programme'.

We are pleased to announce that representatives from the UK’s Department for Transport (DfT) Dangerous Goods Office and High Consequence Dangerous Goods Security audit team will be attending, presenting and being available for informal chats during the day.

Draft Agenda

Exhibition & Sponsorship

As well as the presentations and discussions, we will be hosting an exhibition, supported by organisations providing services and products to our industry - see below for current sponsors.

If you wish to support this event, please contact the Office (enquiries@badgp.org).

Attendees will also have the chance to meet other DG professionals and many of the BADGP Committee members in person.

Our October Seminar ‘DG Professionals and Beyond!’ promises to be a thoroughly informative and engaging event - which is definitely what we need following all the lockdowns and controls that have prevented us from meeting sooner.

Registration

Registration is only open to members of BADGP & CHCS, for a cost of only £80.00 (we are not VAT registered). Please complete the registration form on this web page.

Non-members can Join BADGP for only £80.00 for 1 year, and then register for the seminar. Your membership will not only give you access to this seminar, but to all the other benefits of BADGP membership, including free access to our webinars and Annual Industry Seminar.

Timing [provisional]

Registration will commence at 09:00 with the presentations starting at 09:30.

We expect the seminar to end at around 16:10.

Venue & Hotel Rooms

Our venue is the Best Western Plus Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa Birmingham Road, Allesley, Coventry, CV5 9AL.

Please quote "BADGP Seminar" when booking - from previous experience you may want to also try booking online as quotes can sometimes be lower!

Please Note: if you decide to stay at the hotel opposite the Best Western: the Quality Hotel, Allesley, Coventry CV5 9AL, you cannot cross the road to get to our venue, as they are on opposite sides of a dual-carriageway. You will need to drive to the nearest roundabout to get onto the opposite carriageway from which you can then approach the Best Western.

Questions?

If you have any questions about the event, please contact the BADGP Office (enquiries@badgp.org).

We look forward to seeing you in October.
