This webinar features our two committee members John O’Shea and Dan Lee discussing and examining the relationship between the ADR and IATA DG codes with the emphasis on the IATA (DG by Air) side of operations. Delivered in a conversation style format the webinar will answer such questions as:

  • Are the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations what they say they are in the UK?
  • Why is the IATA DGR so restrictive when compared to their IMDG and ADR compatriots?
  • Why does IATA DGR think itself superior to ADR?
  • Why does the IATA DGR have coloured pages and overt advertisements within?
  • What are the advantages and disadvantages within the IATA DGR?
  • What’s all the fuss about the competency based training matrix?
  • What does a company’s compliance to the IATA DGR look like and how can they find themselves in trouble for non-compliance?

All these and many more areas will be discussed to ensure our BADGP members can understand the requirements of this essential ingredient for the multi-modal shipments that form part of the UK’s international trade.
